Travel More, Spend Less, Connect Better.
At GooMur, we believe that travel should be enriching, social — and most of all — affordable. That’s why we created a platform that helps travellers connect while saving money along the way.
Founded by a father and his two globe-trotting children, GooMur was born from real-life travel experiences across dozens of countries. Our CEO teamed up with his son and daughter, both passionate solo travellers in their 20s, self-funded and always on a budget, to create something they felt was missing — a smarter way to meet fellow travellers, share experiences, and cut down on travel costs.
Our co-founder and son, now in his late 20s, caught the travel bug during college. From solo trips to travelling as a couple, he's now explored 47 countries — often finding that the best parts of his adventures came from the people he met and the money-saving tips they exchanged on the road.
Our daughter and co-founder, in her mid-20s, now on country number 39, travels almost exclusively solo. After a recent trip to Colombia, she returned with inspiring stories — not just of beautiful places, but of budget-friendly tips, welcoming locals, and incredible connections with other solo travellers from around the world.
That’s exactly what GooMur was built for.
We’re a platform designed for solo travellers and couples, representing 77% of the world’s overall 2024 tourist numbers of 1.4 billion, who want to link up, plan meetups, split costs, and make travel more social, seamless, and affordable.
Whether you’re looking to share a ride, split a tour, find a travel buddy, or just exchange local tips — GooMur helps you do it in a way that’s easy, safe, and designed to stretch your travel budget further.
We’re more than just an app — we’re a money-saving, memory-making travel community that believes the journey is better when shared — and cheaper when planned together.
